Our origins date to a radio show produced by Louis Vitalis which started in San Francisco in 1940. From those beginnings, GreekTV was born and went on to become one of the longest running ethnic television shows in the United States. Then, along came the internet …

Now, GreekTV.com serves the world. We bring you the best original and curated content by, for and about Greeks- from Athens to Australia, from Santorini to Silicon Valley- and everywhere in between. Featuring your best videos, favorite music and latest news from wherever you are. In other words, keeping you connected, informed and entertained.

Dimitri Carapanos, Chief Executive Officer

Born in Greece, educated at universities in Athens, Paris and San Francisco, Dimitri spends most of his time in Silicon Valley while not back at his home in Ipiros and Chania, Crete. His career has encompassed both international banking and commercial real estate interests. But his passion is GreekTV – he’s served the Greek community and diaspora for over 25 years by providing quality programming for a wide audience.
Nicholas Lerikos, Chief Creative Officer

Nicholas’ grandfather emigrated from Sparti to California in 1905. Born and raised in Silicon Valley, he started his producing career with an Academy Award winning writer/director, creating programming for the Discovery Channel and Nova. He’s since gone on to travel the world as owner of his marketing and consulting firm. Now, in charge of creative efforts at GreekTV.com he has the excuse he’s looking for to spend more time back in Greece.
Mihalis Hadjioannou, Chief Technology Officer

Mihalis hails from Athens where he returns frequently to visit friends and family. He has spent time living, working and performing in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area where he currently resides. He studied Computer Science getting his Bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley and his PH.D at UCLA. He has been at the forefront of designing multimedia computer applications for home and office as head of IMS Designs for over ten years.
Eirini Steirou, Producer/Director

Eirini studied Architecture in Thessaloniki and Cinema production in San Francisco as a Fulbright scholar. As a filmmaker, she has been awarded the Murphy and Cadogan Fellowship for the Arts from San Francisco Foundation. Her thesis film was selected to represent Greece in Rome Biennale of European Young Artists in 2011. Eirini currently lives in Athens and works as a director.
Chris Tantalakis, Host

Chris may be the only stage actor/director in Greece who also holds a Degree in Law. He was born in in Serres, Northern Greece but now calls Athens his home. He has studied at and performed with the National Theater of Northern Greece (NTNG) both at home and abroad, in addition to acting in numerous short films and commercials.
Evie Michael Mpras, Writer/Filmaker

Evie is a writer and filmmaker. She has studied Literature, Scriptwriting, and  Filmmaking in Virginia, San Francisco, Prague, and Montreal. She has written for Odyssey Magazine and Athens News, among other publications. Her films have been screened at the San Francisco Cinematheque, Berkeley Video & Film Festival and the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival. She now lives in Athens, Greece, and is currently finishing her documentary “Gregory Markopoulos and Temenos: Radiating with One’s Own Light”.
Margarita Cox-Bezaitis, Host

Margarita is an internationally renowned singer/performer. Originally from California, Margarita has worked and lived in San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles. Then fate took her to Athens, where she starred on Fame Story, the Greek version of American Idol. She’s back home – for now!
Tony Evreniadis, Art Director/Graphic Design Professional

Born in the USA, raised in both the US & Greece, educated and worked in Thessaloniki, he continues his 16 years of professional graphic design work freelancing in the Greater Milwaukee Area. His careers highlights: the redesign of Helexpo’s Branch Exhibitions Logos; Thessaloniki’s International Trade Fair. Also his work has been published in a collective: “Thessaloniki Graphic Design 1980-2009″, in 2010.
Sarah Stimson, World Correspondent

A multi-faceted professional with diverse and significant experience in fashion, advertising, public relations and administration. Highly articulate and personable, with professionally developed presentation, role-acting and training skills. Extensive experience as a model and a spokesperson. An articulate spokesperson for corporations, associations and philanthropic organizations.
